I found out my kittens are eating less these few days. They just reach 6 months and are eating raw.

They used to wait for their food plate and now they will just take a few bits whenever they want to after the plate is put down.

They used to eat about 8 oz per day about 1 week ago, and now they probably only eat 3-5 oz per day. They were given the same type of meat.

They are active, and they are not losing weight. Is this normal?

Koobe did you read any kitten books?

Kittens hit a slower growth point at about 6 months ... they eat less and sleep less than at a younger age...

If they are active, and not losing weight, then they are fine. You'd notice if they were going off their food because of health issues. Activity would drop sharply, they'd be lethargic and just not themselves.

A kitten has already reached about 80% of its adult size at 6 months old. You'll probably notice they already look like adults rather than fuzzy little kittens at this point. Since they're eating raw, also, it has less filler and less food does more for them than the same amount of processed food would.

As long as they're eating a regular amount daily they are fine.
