I found out Panther has a bald spot with 1 single acne like red spot in the middle at his belly. My brother touched it, and Panther meowed right away.

I am planning to bring him to the vet next week. But for my vet, I do not even know if there is anything available next week. At the mean time, what should I do? Should I clean it with water? Should I put anything (cream?) over it?

What can I expect? Will it usually spread out? I just want to know what to do or expect before he sees the vet. Thank you very much.

I am at work now, it has to be tonight.
But later last night, I tried to find that spot again, and I could not find it. It's pretty small.

Sounds like whatever this spot is, it's painful to the touch and therefore why your kitty meowed when your brother touched it. Could be an abscess. I would try to get your kitty into the Vet as early in the week as you can and if your own Vet is booked up, I'd try another clinic.

What is the size of the bald spot? The size of a pea? a dime? a nickel? a quarter?

Does your cat go outside at all?

Have you noticed anything different with your cat lately; eating more/less? Drinking more/less? Peeing/pooping okay? Any vomiting? Sleeping more?

The bald spot is the size of a pea (actually a little bit smaller). My cat is an indoor cat.
He eats less recently, but I am suspecting it is because he just became 6 months old. All others are normal.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but it's not one of his nipples you're seeing, is it?

Haha, my brother asked me the same question. And being a first time cat owner, the answer is I do not know. We tried to find another similar spot to see if it is a nipple, but I could not find it. But at the same time, we lost the bald spot we were looking at too.

My first thought was that it was a nipple you are seeing. But you should be able to find all of them, though they can be pretty small on a young male cat.

I do not think it is a nipple because it is red. It looks exactly like human acne, with a tiny inflammation in the center. But now I cannot find it anymore, especially with a moving cat. I cannot find any of the nipples neither.

Panther still won't let me find the red spot last night.

I just called the vet and his earliest available appointment will be Friday. And Panther is not going to be seen by the vet he saw last time, it will be by another vet in the office (which I have never met).

As I have expected, I have to find another vet. Does anyone go to a holistic vet for skin problems? Or you prefer a normal vet?
