Who else has Feb/March Cat Shows?

We are off the next two months - Jack's next shows are 2 in April and 2 in May so far. I have some summer shows planned and some fall ones.

I am hoping to enter the Chicagoland Pet Expo's "Household Companion Cat Contest" in March:

Last year Harlequin won 'best in show' for the HHP show (most points) and the year before that Roxy won! It is a stand-alone show not with any cat association so you don't get points, just prizes. It's a little strange because there actually is a CFA cat show also being held inside the pet expo, but it is completely separate from the HHP show... The pet expo is a huge show for all types of pets, 3 floors of the large building at Arlington International Racecourse. They have a bunch of demos and competitions for dogs and cats as well as a bird show and exhibits of other types of pets, info booths and 300+ vendors!

If I go this year I will be taking Harlequin and one of her brothers. I am thinking about taking Mr. Grey since he's the only one who has not done a show yet. Blaze did one show but was pretty scared so probably won't go again. Spot did the pet expo show last year and he was totally fine with it but the judges didn't final him (probably because he is overweight.)

After that the next show I'm planning to enter is a TICA cat show at the beginning of May which is a one day ten-ring show. There's also a CFA cat show at the beginning of April I could enter but I probably won't because they don't give points for HHPs in CFA. I've been considering joining the CFA Midwest Region group because they do HHP scoring and regional awards, but even if I did, it would be pointless to enter the show in April if the show year is ending.

Our season is just starting, I've entered Ashia in a show for March.

Amanda - are both girls bred yet?

I was contemplating going to a March show earlier in the year but there would only be one kitten I could show and I'm going to sell her. My first show I'll be going to (spectating/agent) will be 17th of April and then judging the 7th of May. Probably wont show until the 16th of May.

No shows for a while. Safiya really doesn't like showing and she was being passed over repeatedly for a Mau with a better coat. The judges like her body and expression though. I decided to concentrate on breeding her to a stud who complements her.

I am getting a new smoke Mau in April, who will most probably be a CFA GC by then. I may continue to show her in TICA for exposure as she has a great show personality.

Sky is bred, and I am waiting to see if it took this time. I may have a few show prospects next year.

I'm going to a 1-day CFA show in Phoenix March 13. I don't expect Merlin to get any points, but he loves to show so I'll keep taking him. I'm also taking four of my HHP's. Cali gets to stay home because she's absolutely terrified around strangers.
