are grass home mixing kits safe??

I just bought a kit for my cat at CVS. But i thought I should check here first..

I believe its called Vita -green.

Are these safe to use??

It's the kind sold for cats, right? If so, yes, they're safe (if not, there might be pesticides or fertilizer in the soil and I wouldn't chance it). Your cat may vomit from eating the grass but it's harmless.

Mazy cut her throat from the grass from one of those kits, so I never used them again. The kind of grass seed I think isn't supposed to have sharp edges like some grasses do, but this one did.

I grow Oat or Wheat grass for my cats, if either of those seeds are in the kit then it will be okay.

Its for dogs and cats..

It says USDA organic - wheat grass.

The weird thing is is has - what looks like plastic tiny balls - but they are listed as crystals (a non toxic organic horticultural water absorbent agent....)

thats what makes me the most nervous - not that the animals would touch/eat it.
