No bugs in my trailer, thankfully.

Most common around here though are ants, waterbugs(palmetto bugs aka American cockroach), brown recluse and black widow spiders and scorpions.

I tend to get a lot of what we call "cave crickets". They're attracted to cool damp places (hence the name), which pretty well describes most of East Tennessee and especially my basement apartment. They don't really hurt anything, so I don't fumigate since I'd rather not risk exposing the cats to any poisons. I just go around with a dust buster from time to time, vacuum them up, and then dump them outside. I've found that it usually doesn't even hurt them - they just hop away. If I'm lazy and don't do it for a while, the cats will play with them and rip the legs off and then I'm picking up cricket pieces instead.

I have only lived in this mobile home since last May and the only thing I saw last summer were some ants. I put one of those ant trays out and eventually the ants were gone. I didn't need any professional fumigators thank goodness. Ants are the only bugs I had last summer for only a short time.

The only bugs we really have a problem with here are fruit flies, house flies, and mosquitos.
Even then I would only consider the fruit flies a problem and the others just more of a nuisance.
As long as we keep up with dishes and don't leave food out, then you can keep the fruit flies at bay, but they still stick around even in winter. I think we have a lone straggler in our house now. Fruit flies LOVE mint tea with sugar. lol We have never really had to fumigate or anything b/c of it except for once.

When we went on our honeymoon our house was spotless but right before we left I had half of a bowl of canned ravioli and ,not thinking, left the rest in the bowl sitting in the sink without rinsing it out b/c we were in a hurry. We had turned our air conditioning off while we were gone. When we got home after 1.5 weeks you could hear the buzzing before we opened the door. Our ENTIRE house was filled with flies. Seriously you could barely see. I had left my veil draped over the back of the sofa and the flies ruined it.
The worst part was that I ran a home daycare at the time and was set to reopen the day after we got back. We were up all night cleaning, all for a couple ravioli. It was disgusting.

We don't get much in the winter -- the odd housefly, spider, occasionally a moth. In summer, you can add fruit flies -- they can be challenging, but they never take over. Occasionally a wasp strays inside. And there are a few mosquitoes, but not all that many. DH has a great time with his little tennis-racquet-type bug zapper, but there's never enough traffic to warrant any professional attention.

It was 60F (15C-ish) outside today. So warm enough that a few flies were active outside.
The area I live in has all sort of insects and arachnids, good and bad. So far the only pests have been ants.

I'm another one that breeds insects for their reptiles.
Unfortunately the meal moths sneak in and are something I have to keep in check.

I always deep clean. I'm a bit weird about that and do not like any sort of mess - especially food related. I'll flip if I found out that someone has left dirty dishes or food out. I guess it's cause I'm paranoid about roaches.

Never called pest control. We did have a termite inspection on the house before purchasing it. No sign of any termites, probably because the ants keep them away.

No fumigating. We do use a barrier spray around the base of the house and around the windows outside to keep the ants out.

Ugh, no real bug problems here thankfully. I hate, hate, HATE bugs. We'll get the occasional spider, but they are usually pretty small and they don't last long with all of the cats.

Same here. The occasional spider and fly, but they're as good as dead once a cat sees them.

Our apartment is basically bug free. Except for the occasional fly, ant or fruitfly. When we moved in we were told that the exterminators come at least once a month. We were told if we noticed any roaches to let them know immediately. We did see a couple but killed them. They came in from our old place. We see them outside sometimes too. But haven't seen any lately.
