Gus got me good

I was clipping Lucky's nails. She starts screaming bloody murder like she always does. Gus came out of no where jumped on my lap and swatted me. leaveing some big scratches on my arm. Obviously he was protecting Lucky. But he has never reacted to her screaming before. Next time I will put Gus in my bedroom.

Another way to see it is maybe Gus sensed something we couldn't about how she was reacting and that was why he felt he needed to protect her. Maybe it is a good thing...maybe she really wasn't feeling up to having her nails clipped? Perhaps she was achy or not feeling well in some way? We will never know? But cats are funny with what they can perceive...

Sorry you got hurt. I still have the scar from when my cat made an ill attempt to jump off the couch.
