Car Dealerships....

As some of you know, I bought a new car almost 2 weeks ago. I LOVE my new car, but there is a little problem-- I still have the old 1 parked in the parking lot and Chase has STILL not received the payoff. I can't turn in the Subaru until I only have 6 months left on the lease (next month) so it has to stay. I called the dealership this morning and left a message for the sales manager (they're in a meeting ) and I'm now waiting for them to call me back. It's on my loan contract that they will pay the balance of the loan and they told me that they had already called to get the address, but still Chase hasn't gotten it. I'm just complaining....and I am not independently wealthy so I can't afford 2 car payments!

I can see how that would be a problem. You sure don't want your credit affected. Stay on them about it, calling every hour. The squeakey wheel gets the grease is the old saying, but it's true, all the same.

When I bought my car last march, the manual was missing. I mentioned it, and was told they would order one, and they would call me or mail it to me when it came in. I waited a few weeks, no manual. I called, was told he would "look into it". A week goes by. I went in to the dealer ship and asked, and was told well it was around here somewhere, they'd look for it and call me. I made a rather loud fuss about it for all to hear.

Still no manual, so I started calling the salesman that sold me the car twice a day, morning and afternoon, until he finally sent me a manual for my car. It took THREE months. I filled out a questionnaire sent to me by the loan company, with my complaints, and also went on line and filed a complaint about the dealership and how it was not handled. It was a real pain in the neck to ahve to be thinking about and dealing with this every day for three months. I guess they were hoping I would give up, and go away, many probably do.

Well, the sales manager called me back and told me to wait until Tuesday. I am actually ok with that because of all of the snow we have had. Mail was not delivered for a couple of days and it takes up to 10 days. Still makes me mad that it is going to take until right before my payment is due, but not much I can do. I will probably only wait until Monday before calling and harassing them again just because I want this to be paid!!

I think it's actually Chase screwing around at this point...jerks!
