Reasons why Human foods are not for cats!

Do you know that there are lots of foods that are toxic to cats. Example, foods that contains onion. It contains a compound which is toxic to the red blood cells of cats. If the red blood cells are damaged, it may result to Heinz Body Anemia because the red cells develop an abnormality called a 'Heinz body' which can be seen under the microscope.

List of foods that cats should never eat:
-Onions, Garlic, & Related Root Vegetables
-Green Tomatoes, Green (raw Potatoes)
-Chocolate
-Grapes and Raisins
and even Milk too?!

You aren't harming them, Paul would occasionally give the outside bunch milk. There are also lactose free milks. There's lactose free cow's milk and soy milk and most(if not all) other non dairy milks are lactose free. My son is highly allergic to milk and therefore obviously has a reaction to anything with lactose in it. He is allergic to milk proteins, he is NOT lactose intolerant. There is a big difference, lactose intolerant people can't DIE from drinking milk, my son could. His allergy isn't that bad anymore but at one point when he was younger I had to carry his EpiPen Jr.(and Benedryl) everywhere with me, it had to go with him everywhere and he had to also have one at school because if he consumed milk and didn't have it he could die.

I was surprised when I learned that many cats are lactose intolerant. Until I adopted Holland, I believed in many of the cat stereotypes/beliefs that are out there. I used to let her drink the leftover milk after I'd eaten cereal, then I read about the lactose intolerance. I quit giving her the milk and her loose stools firmed up just like magic!

I have learned SO MUCH about cats since I adopted her... and everything I learn just makes me love cats more and more.

I also learned a lot from my cat. I wish I could have another one but mom won't allow it.

Yep, that's what usually happens to novice cat people!

When you're grown and on your own you'll be able to have as many as you have space time and money for.
Full adulthood (and all it's irritating responsabilities) comes sooner than you think and last much longer than the early years. Now that I'm the oldest living member of my family I sometimes wish I could go back to the freedom I didn't know I had as a teen.

Yes you're right.
