My husband Jim's work recently bought a truck off of Jim's boss Allen, to use as a shop truck. Yesterday the seatbelt was stuck, so Jim was fixing it. When he took the seat and everything apart he found a cheque book cover. Inside was $750 in $50's. He immediate returned the money to Allen since Allen owned the truck since new. it has to be his. Allen has no idea when he lost this money
. The bills were from 1975. Jim would not take a reward. His fellow employee are calling Jim an idiot. they all said they wouldn't have given Allen the money. Finders keepers. This morning when Jim went to make his lunch he found $200 in his lunch box. He doesn't think he should accept this reward. It wasn't his money. I think he should put a smile on his face and accept it.

I think that if Allen wanted to reward your husband, then he should take it. It will make Allen feel better too. Not many people would've done what Jim did, kudos to him.

Apparently your hubby is one of the few of us all that are honest enough to return all that money..
He's a truly special person and karma will be kind to him soon enough!
Good job hubby!!!!!!!

I agree he should keep the reward. It will make Allen happy for him to accept it, and I'm sure he's just glad to get the rest of it back!

Oh and if Jim continues to fuss, remind him Valentine's day is next week and you can think of a few sparkly reasons for him to keep it.

I think accepting it graciously is the right thing to do. Allen gets $550 he had no idea about, and your hubby gets $200 - everyone is happy!

Yes, accept it! Karma! Good people deserve good things! He should go out and buy himself something pretty!
