ultrasounds what do they use?

I want to get a second opinion before i lose my temper at the vets.
I want to know what other places use for ultrasounds as lubricants.

For humans we use that gel sticky stuff, what exactly do they use on cats?

My vat shaves the stomach or whatever and uses vaseline, which is harmless. He wipes it all off afterwards.

my vet used methylated spirits!!!!!! i do not understand how that would be used as a lubricant! worse part was this isnt my usual vet, she is just a substitute as my reg vet is away!

gatto is fine but i just do not understand!

We use alcohol if it's just getting urine, if we're using it to ultrasound an organ we use the same gel you'd see at your doctors.
