RIP Captain Phil Harris

Captain Phil Harris of "Deadliest Catch" fame died Tuesday. He suffered a stroke in late January.

Condolences to his family and friends, he will be missed.

Oh no, I am so sad to hear that. He was so funny. His boys must be just crushed. RIP Captain Harris

Bummer. I always enjoyed watching him. He had a real good notion of what I will call 'the common man's common sense' and a wicked sense of irony.

My sympathies for his sons.

The show will certainly be a lot less interesting without him. He was defintiely the msot interesting character on it. Sig would come in a close second.

He was under so very much stress. All those guys on deck getting hurt weighed on his mind. Constant immobility in that chair for so many hours, and the smoking. Plus, trying to make a good living in a deadly job...

I always liked him. He was crusty, but you could tell he had a heart. The show won't be the same without him.

God speed Captain Phil.

This makes me so sad. He was my favorite captain on the show and it will be hard to watch it now without him.

RIP PHIL!!! He and Sig were my favorites on the show. Im gonna have to keep watch online to see if they do an episode about him. I hope that his boys take over the boat those two love their dad so much it just oozes out of them!!!

So sorry to hear and read about this. Have watched the show a couple of times and saw him on it, so young to die.
