I Miss You Speedboat

Today marks two weeks since we had to let you go, sweet boy. I think about how you always had to be petted and loved before you would eat your food. I know you loved me more than any cat I ever had. Your favorite place in the whole world was in my lap and you had to have that every day.
What I miss the most is how you always answered when we spoke to you. You alway meowed back as if to answer in your own way. I feel your presence so strong, it is weird. Please know we love you and we will miss you every day of our lives. Muffin wandered around and looked for you over and over. He and Mattie are sleeping together in the garage at night in the big cage. We are hoping to see them love each other like you and Muffin did.
Life is not the same here. I only hope that where you are you think of us and love us too. You were a loved cat and you brought so much joy into our lives. We gave you the best of everything we could for 14 years. Rest in peace big yellow kitty and know that you are loved forever.

He had such a loving home. I hope you get to the place where, when you look back, it can be with a smile and not a tear.

May I ask how he got his name? Was he a little speedster when he was a kitten?
