Well that stinks. I'm sure he loved all of those foods.
Maybe try asking the doctor about some allergy tests so you don't encounter this again? Having made homemade bbq and wing sauce, there's really not that many ingredients in it and not any that would be anything very uncommon - so there's the chance that he could encounter it again.

Years ago DH, his family, and I went to have Christmas dinner with some of his "rich" family. Someone put something in the stuffing that I reacted terribly to. I started getting congested, then suddenly couldn't breathe. Luckily it passed after about 20 minutes, any longer and I would have probably ended up in the ER.

I hope he gets to feeling better.

Thanks Everyone,
He will not be eating that again.
He also got sick like that on christmas but he did not faint then.
He had ate carna asada that time with sauce.
He needs to get the allergy tests.
I am the one that is allergic to everything.

I remember years ago, watching the news and there was a short story about how sometimes couples will have the same or similar health problems. One may originally have something and the other will develop it over time. No idea if there's any truth to that aside from being in the same environment. I just remember at the time thinking that taking "doing things together" too far.

I hope you can find the exact trigger. It may be difficult to prevent it from ever happening again unless you do.
