When we bought our new house, we also took with it the 1950's stove that was in the kitchen--not because we wanted it, but because we figured someone would, and we could sell it.

However, we have no idea of what it is worth. It is a Crosley 1950's electric range with double ovens. It is in pristine condition, no scratches, all four burners work, but the oven temps are off. We used it for 3 months, and now have a new one.

Anybody have any idea what its worth?

I know the picturse aren't great they were taken with my blackberry. But I figured the general idea would help.

Thanks
Leslie

Honestly, it isn't worth a whole lot as an appliance because it isn't all glitz, flashing lights and touchpads, but can guarantee it is 3 times the stove the new ones are. Even new stoves have ovens that are a tad off - that is why most serious cooks have a thermometer in the oven. Most used stoves go for around 50.00 in my area

Do some research. You never know what you might find out.

By the way, did you know that Crosley also built cars at one time?

I ve seen stoves like that on Craig's List. Probably worth less than 100.00. But people like the retro look.

Try putting it on CL. It just might sell.
