My cats have been doing really well on Nature's Logic rabbit formula. But my pet stores are no longer carrying it. I'd like to keep them on something with rabbit. I have tried them on grain frees (high protein), but they were too rich (diarrhea). And they've been on Wellness chicken (not grain free) and they had soft/runny stools.

Does anyone know of any other rabbit formulas? Or perhaps something that is a little richer than chicken or turkey, but not as rich as a grain free like EVO or Core?

Thanks.

PS here's the ingredients for Nature's Logic Rabbit:

I used Nature's Variety Instinct Rabbit when I was still feeding dry food. Mine loved it but I guess most cats don't?

I feed rabbit wet food occasionally to mine that still eat commercial. They also love duck and venison!

Thanks for the tip.

I checked their website and the ingredients in the NV Instict look pretty good. Although, it's a grain-free, so I'm a little leery. They have never really done well on grain-frees, and I'm concerned that down the road it might not be UTI friendly. Neither of my cats have had UTI issues, but magnesium levels concern me.

I just hate it when pet stores just up and stop carrying a particular food. Although, I understand why they do it. I can get Nature's Logic online, but the shipping is ridiculous. The food is around $14 for a 3.3 lb bag.

Do either of you have advice on switching from rabbit as the main source of protein to another protein? (ie., duck, lamb or venison?)

For example, NV makes a lamb/oatmeal:

Any thoughts?

fish would be my next one... duck is OFTEN to rich for sensitive tummys.... lamb is a HOT meat and can cause more issues ... venison is close to lamb

Instinct Rabbit has a lower protein than some of the other grain free diets so it may be less rich.
