Anyone remember the sphynx I was going to get before I got Wrinkles? Bad Breeder

Anyone remember the sphynx I was going to get last summer before I got Wrinkles?
I am so glad I did not get a kitten from her.
The lady that was showing her daughters sphynx against cleo has filed a complaint against her with CFA.
The sphynx has been sick and he will be going to UC Davis because it appears he has heart problems/hcm.
This lady has given me permission to warn people about this person.
She does scan for hcm and that was part of the reason I backed out and there was no health guarantee.
The kittens I was offered last summer are th sisters of this sphynx that is sick but from another litter.
I also found out that this person was never going to get a 2nd sphynx.
This lady lied to me about that.
She only cares about winning and profit.
It was even in her contract that the cats must be shown until they grand.
She also guarantees her cats to win which is wrong.
I am posting this so someone else does not get cheated by a breeder.
I am being so careful now and do not trust many breeders.
I have turned down 3 breeders so far that have offered me a sphynx in the last few months because some do not scan some do not show and some only care about winning.
I am not going by sex or color with my next sphynx.
I am only going by quality and health.

This is my post from then.

Wow - at least you found out in time. I NEVER trust any breeder that insists on a cat being shown till it grands or "guaranteeing" a cat will grand! There are so many variables that can affect a cat in the show ring.

Even if you buy a quality cat, he/she may not even LIKE showing - we've all had show cats that hated it and wind up being retired early - no matter how "good" they are. I really hate when a person shows an obviously unhappy cat and keeps doing it over and over - just for the wins. They don't care about their cats at all. And I do know several people over the years that have done that and I just feel like dropping a brick on their heads at times to get thru to them!

Last October Cleo and this sphynx both got sick from the same show.
Cleo got better but the other sphynx did not get better.
I had suggested they try baytril because it worked for Cleo.
They tried it but it did not help.
So many cats got sick from that show.
I have seen cats that acted worse then cleo did and they still are being shown.
I will not show Cleo again unless I think she is ready to try again.
I do not care about the 25 grand points that she needs.
This white cat bit a judge and clawed them and was not even disqualified.
How can he not be disqualified for that?
This was at a CFA show.

Its rare that judges will disqualify a cat - even if they should. Many times they might talk to the breeder/owner after, but they usually hang the ribbon if the cat has no competition. Its in the show rules, but its not done.

If it was done in cases like you describe, it might make breeders/owners start paying more attention. And the sad fact was it probably was a breeder or owner that was well known in the show hall....you know what I mean.

I've only seen one judge recently that had a talk with an owner about not showing their cat any more because of the behavior and would not hang ribbons. The owner tried to justify it. But the rest of the judges still gave a ribbon to the cat (breed) even tho the cat kept acting up.

One of my friends is a master clerk and her cat acted way worse then cleo so they put the cat as abtsent instead.
I know how it is.
No judge asked to talk with us ever after she acted bad.
My husband asked and we got answers.
The TICA judge that is going to give me advice on Wrinkles wants me to bring Cleo to where they are benched so she can see how she acts.
She was nice to me when Cleo was bad.
I hope one day ACFA comes out here so I can try one of thier shows.
I am going to keep showing Wrinkles in TICA.
I may stop showing her in CFA soon.
I am not going to next weekends CFA show because she has no chance at all.
It is a campaign show.
King City the show I am going to is not campaign show.
The Lodi TICA shows are always campaign shows but I will continue to show her there.
