As mentioned in a previous post, I travelled around Europe for a few weeks last summer. Here are a few pictures to make everyone (including me
) wish they could go on vacation right now.

First stop: Okehampton, England
A small village near a national park. It was beautiful... but so far from London. After the flight, spending another 5h on a bus was not that great an idea after all

The castle. My very first medieval castle. I was so excited I could barely stand still.

The national park. This is my best picture and it doesn't do the park justice at all. It was huge and you could not see anyone for miles. Lots of sheep though. The first one I met scared me, but that's another story.

Ponies. After the large open wilderness, the hike took me through farmers' fields (yes, apparently we were allowed to do that.... but I still felt like one of the farmers would see me and chase me with a pitch fork)

Then off to London, of course.

I have lots more pictures, but I think people know what London looks like.
The most fun thing I did in London was go on a ghost walk. It was really creepy. And on my first morning there, I ventured find Abbey Road, thinking it would be super visible, full of tourists and I would recognize it instantly. I walked right past it the first time around

Next stop: Brussels, Belgium.
I didn't like the city very much, but there were some cool museums.

African museum:

Comic book museum:

Next stop: Strasbourg, France
Such a beautiful and relaxing city. I just loved it

The cathedral:

Then I was off to Interlaken, Switzerland.
Very touristy, but right in the Swiss alps. I took the train up the mountain (my feet were too tired to hike up) and it was outstanding!

There were also lots of wild flowers

After Switzerland, I was off to Italy. First, Florence. (Getting to Florence was an adventure in itself...)

The Duomo

Renaissance art everywhere... (I missed all the museums, but there was a lot to see outside too)

Ponte Vechio (I think I spelled that wrong)

Last stop: Rome

The Pantheon (I just loved that building)

Vatican museums
Here's one of the rooms. I don't even remember what was in that room (or any other), I was just looking at all the ceilings.

The Colloseum, of course

And the arch near the colloseum (I don't remember what this one was called)

I love the angles of your photos! You really get a sense of awe from the painted ceilings. Thanks for sharing.

I'd love to have seen your face if you were at my birthday party a year ago, because it was held at 14th century castle near to where i live
