Yesterday I got two doses of good news...

I passed the JLPT (Japanese language proficiency test) level 3. On my third try.

I get to stay in Japan at least one more year, my application for a 4th year as an ALT was approved!

Of course this morning I woke up sick and had to call in to work. i'm not sure if its the flu, which has been going around here, or just vertigo which I get sometimes. I never ever get a fever as I run cold, and I rarely puke.

And my wonder-whizzer Aya has decided she wants to pee on my bed at least once a day now, and I have no clean sheets left and no washer in house.

Can't be all happy I guess.

Yep, after she did it very determinedly twice in one day I scooped up a sample and brought it and her in Weds..

Doc says her urine looks fine. she's been on CD for 6 months for this issue.

After much translation, we agreed that it was likely behavioral. but this could be just a culturally more lassaiz-faire attitude, he was kind of like "cats do these things sometimes..."

And I'm now out of enzyme cleaner. Haven't found it here in Japan. My mom ships it to me at great expense... Waiting on that next box from home.

Congratulations!!
That test isn't easy!

And wow, a 4th year! I'm jealous... I always thought of being an ALT, but never made it back... That's so great, good job!

Sorry about how you're feeling and Aya...
