Can Anyone Make Sense of This

I had to go to the vets office today to get food for my Muffin. I got copies of Speedboat's last two blood tests before we lost him. I am posting it here to get thoughts from anyone who wants to give them

JANUARY 15th

WBC 2.0 L 5.5-19.5 normal
LYMPH 0.5 L 1.8-7.0 "
GRAN 1.3 L 2.8-13 "

HCT 23.6 L 25-45 "
MCHC 36.4 H 30-36 "

MPV 8.0 L 12.0-18 "
PLT 48FD L 200-500 "

FD= PLT Poor RBC/PLT separation, see user manual S

AMY 1919 H 300-1100
BUN 95 H 10-30
CREA 4.2 H .03-2.1

JANUARY 25

WBC 2.9 L
LYMF 0.3GM L
GRAN 2.2GM L
MPV 7.7 L See above
PLT 45FD L See above

GM = L/G/M Review WBC values

AMY 2505 H see above
BUN 180 H "
PHOS 19.7 H 3.4-8.5
CREA 10.8 H see above
TP 8.9 H 5.4-8.2 (this is total protein)

Anyone please feel free to comment. As you can see, Speedboat had some really fouled up bloodwork.

It's always hard to look at bloodwork only and get a good idea of what's going on with a patient, but I'll give it my best shot.

The increased total protein (TP) goes along with dehydration.
The increased BUN and Crea go along with dehydration and kidney problems.
The decreased HCT (anemia) can be a side effect of kidney problems (among other things)
I'm not sure what the abbreviation "AMY" is for, but if it has anything to do with amyloid/amyloidosis, that's not a good thing either.

Looks like it was a challenge for sure.

AMY is for Amylase--it is a pancreatic enzyme. It can be elevated due to renal failure or pancreatitis:

From what I see it looks like it was CRF.
His WBC was getting better but the bun was very high at the end.
I wish I lived near you.
I would have helped you.

Is the white blood count and platelet count usually affected by CRF? Even though the white blood count had come up a little, it was still dangerously low and the vet said he could bleed spontaneously.

I know the red blood count is affected by CRF as they can become anemic, which he was on the last bloodwork. When they stuck inside his leg that day, he bled all over the place.

His phosphorus and protein went high too on the last bloodwork. Is that typical of renal failure.

Yes that is normal with a CRF cat.
Cocos phos and protien were high but we got it down with her meds.
Some CRF cats do have low WBC.
Stripe did at times and a blood transfusion saved her.
I am sorry that you lost him.
