Does your cat spray - do you have a video of it?

If you have a cat that sprays in the house? Have you by any chance recorded that on a video?

I was contacted by someone from Animal Planet and told them I'd ask on the board. So, if you have anything, just drop me a PM and let me know if it's ok for me to give them your email.

I'll be rotating this around the forums for a few days.

I know this is O/T but please please be careful dealing with Animal Planet. I don't know if you get the same programing over there, but here it's terrible - nothing but showing the negatives of animals and animal ownership (of all kinds). They have known connections to HSUS and are known to take a lot of negative soundbytes from whatever experts they trick into consulting with them. I'm just worried they might use your help in a negative way.


I have an outdoor girl kitty that sprays, which doesn't really help you if you want a video of a cat doing it inside. Sorry.

Haven't watched their shows in year. We went off TV entirely several years ago. Not sure why they would want to portray pets in a bad way? Spraying is a real issue - I do hope they're going to address it properly. I will ask him.

Rotating this thread now.

Wow, that surprises me! I have Animal Planet, I am in the US, and Have never seen, even once, anything negative about pets or pet ownership being portraited by them in any way shape or form, unless it was a hoarding, or abusive situation... They have a lot of great shows in there... I don't see what you are saying about them AT ALL...

Give it time, there's a new series coming out soon that goes after exotic and reptile owners. You must have missed Whale Wars, too. Strange that they would give a show to and support people who are considered an eco terrorists (Sea Shepherd).

Anyways, this really wasn't meant to become any sort of debate. Just look over their site (they state their connection to HSUS on it), all the attack shows they love to show in their programming, how they "interview" people, and the concern this is causing a lot of people. Make up your own minds from there... Be careful.

My bobcats spray, but I wouldn't make a video of it for Animal Planet. They are very very anti exotic ownership. For that reason, I don't even watch Animal Planet.

That's an odd request. IMO why would anyone want to be taping their cat spraying in the house in the first place????
