I'm not sure... I think it's the same.
I forgot, it's "Chat" for a male cat (the "t" is silent) and "Chatte" for a female.

Stump is like a ... um... uh... short something... um... well... hmmm... how do you describe stump?

Like a tree stump, after a tree is cut down, the stump is left, just the very bottom of it, not very much. ?!?! Um... hmm...

So then Cola is tail ? LOL Coka-Tail... LMAO
and corta = short?

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
From Gary:

Hebrew:

Hi (hello): Shalom
How are you: Mein ya niem
Please: Bevakashah (inflection on the last syllable)
Thank you: Todah rabah (inflections on the last syllables)
You're welcome: Ah lo devar (literally means "it's nothing")

cat: chatool plural: chatooleem (I don't know how to suggest you pronounce the "ch" because it's not like in english - maybe think of the "c" as a sort of soft "k" - combined with the "h" it's a very gutteral sound).
manx - ???????????? Manx!

Arabic:

Hi (hello): Ahalan we sahalan (pronounced ahalan way sahalan) - that's VERY casual - you'd have to know someone very well to say it like that.
In the morning you say: Sabach el chare
In the evening you say: Sabach el noor

How are you: Keif el halach or you can say keif el duniya this one means "how is your world" - like - how are you and your family kind of a thing...
Please: Ana bidi - it means more "I want." He was in the army in the Middle East - I'm not sure he knows the word for "please."

Thank you - Shukran
You're welcome - ????
cat - chil

French:

Hi (hello): bonjour In the evening: bonsoir
How are you: I only know formal: comment allez vous?
Please Formal: S'il vous plaÃ[emoji]174[/emoji]t Informal I don't know.
Thank you: Merci
You're welcome: de rien - again, this means literally "it's nothing."

cat: chat
manx

I find it really interesting how many languages use "it's nothing" for "you're welcome!"

A State of Confusion
...how do you say (write)...

Here's Russian. ut0pia might know these a bit better since I think she has a little more experience actually, you know, using the language.

Hi (hello) - Depends on who you're talking to. For a friend or someone you know well, it's привет (pre-vyet). For more formal situations, it's здравствуйте (zdrast-voo-tyay)

How are you - Informal: Как дела? (Kack dee-la - literally, how are things) [that first word is pronounced just like the slang for a rooster, but I'm pretty sure it would get censored if I wrote it that way]; Formal Как ваши дела? (Kack vash-ee dee-la)

Please - пожалуйста (pa-zhal-oo-sta)

Thank you - спасибо (spa-see-ba)

You're welcome - пожалуйста (pa-zhal-oo-sta)

cat - female = кошка (kosh-ka) male = кот (coat) У меня четыре кошки = I have 4 cats. Правда! (pravda) = It's true!

manx
Since it's foreign, I'm guessing they'd just spell it like it sounds, i.e., майнкс. Most Russian can read Latin letters, so they might not even do that and just write "manx". BTW, when I pronounce the Russian properly, it comes out as Ma-eenx. It sounds the same way I think some of my very southern relatives would pronounce the word.

After thought
YES - да (da)
NO - Нет (nyet)
MAYBE - Может быть (Mo-zhet bweets [that last word is really hard to convey properly]; literally "It could be")

German Manx breeders use the expressions "Rumpies" and "Stumpies", BTW.
