WT?
I feel so guilty anytime I eat anything. I have this ball of fur climbing all over me and crying. He loves to try and get in the fridge or garbage too, like I starve him or something hehe. I actually have to put lil man in a time out (in the bathroom) to bake anything or it would turn out to be a cathair surprise!

It really is super cute and I would just love to let him eat absolutely anything off my plate, but since I just got him from a shelter I have no idea if he has anything like worms (took to vet recently) and plus he has had really bad diarrhea anytime he eats food, too bad for kitty, boo

Does anyone else have a cat who begs and whines like a dog for food, what do you do for some peace?

Azizi used to do this when he was a young kitten.
We were CONSTANTLY putting him down while we were eating. He finally got the hint and grew out of it. When we eat chicken though, Elliott will sit and stare at us, giving us the most pathetic look just willing us to share.

Holland is ALWAYS interested in what I'm eating. I don't condone feeding the kitties people food, but I can't help it... When she's all up in my face I give in. Funny thing is, she rarely likes whatever it is I'm eating... She begs and begs for it, then doesn't like what I give her.

What is his weight, how old is he, and how much are you feeding him?
If he is a kitten (less than a year old), he should be eating all he wants, so if he is begging, chances are, he is hungry.
The best way to manage that is to free feed him dry food, and feed him 2-3 meals a day of wet food, this way you don't break the bank, and you have a break on the whining, begging...

You can also measure/free feed... Meaning, measure an amount of food and leave it out throughout the day. Remember, kittens eat a LOT, like double of adults per weight...

Good luck with the new kitty!

While there is always dry food and water available, my little man Ollie loves his canned wet food. When I was at school, every day when I'd come home he would look up at me and let out this little cry to remind me to put out a new can (like I was going to forget). He even does it now that I'm out of school if he wants his canned food a little early. He eats the dry food too, but the wet food is an addiction for him. So, I guess that's kind of like begging. Also whenever I'm eating something, they both come take a look and seem very interested, especially if I am eating something with pork or ham (don't tell my Rabbi), but neither of them ask for any.

Nora always begs for food. I guess it doesn't help that we give in and give her stuff that we know won't hurt her. She LOVES cucumbers, tomatoes, raw beef and chicken, and a couple other things but those are her favorites. Her new obsessions have been applesauce and triple berry pie from Village Inn (I only gave her a taste of the pie, but she LOVES it). lol I completely forgot that she loves the pie until the last time I got some and brought it home. I couldn't figure out why she was all over me and wouldn't leave me alone. Then it dawned on me. lol She was mad that I ate it all and didn't share.

none of my girls beg for food, they will however sit and watch us eat though
they know it's not for them, and they sit there because they know they'll get whatevers left on the plate afterwards lol
