RIP Milo

Thread Starter
I got a call today, my past foster whom had been adopted passed away today. They arn't quite sure why. She said that yesterday his attitude changed, he didn't come when called (he usually did) and he wouldn't eat, I don't know about water, and wouldn't take treats.
Then today, he just...passed.
She said that when looked over, because they couldn't figure it out he had red gums, redder than they should be.
I'm at a loss. Any ideas what could have happened?

RIP Milo. We will always miss you!

Poor Milo.

Bright red gums sound like carbon monoxide poisoning, but I probably just watch too many crime solving TV shows.

Aw, the poor little boy. How old was he? FIP comes to mind. Genetic heart problem. If the mouth was bad, could be acute kidney failure.

Godspeed, little Milo! I am glad that even though you passed so soon, you got to know what a real home was, with a loving family who called you by name, a safe place to live, playing with toys...condolences to your family who lost your presence in their lives too, too soon. Play happily over RB, little kitty
