Since I moved home to Newfoundland I have had tons of trouble finding EVO canned food - I can't get it anywhere!. I have been working since to find a food that works good for my guys.
We found a store that sells Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul and we started the cats on their canned food. Frodo's weight loss leveled out
I called the store to find out what other canned foods that they carried. It is hard to find my guys food because they absolutely will not eat more than 2 5.5 oz cans of food a day between them. Therefore I need to find a food that has about 200 cal/can or they won't get enough calories. I can't have Frodo losing weight too fast and I can't have Blue losing weight at all!
I decided I would try the Go! canned food, grain free and not grain free and also Nature's Variety Prairie chicken formula. So far the cats have tired both of the Go! formulas and have LOVED both!
I was getting my food from a store about 2 hours and 15 minutes away and a friend of ours was going to school out there so he picked it up for us. Well, he is finished school on Friday so I had to find a new solution!
There is a store that is about 2 hours away that is close to where my husband and I are from that carries Go! dog food. I get my Orijen dog food from there. I called her today and she said that she could order the food in for me and, not only that but she could give me the food for 1.67/can! Woo! I would be paying 1.89/can at the other store. It is not much savings but it will add up. I am so happy I called her!
I have another friend who is going to school in the town where my husband and I are from so he stops by to get the dog food for us and now he will get the cat food too.
