Well, all my kitties are trying to make him at home. Everytime we find him he finds a new hiding place!! Well I was just sitting here and I saw him in the kitchen, as soon as I talked to him he ran. He is still in the kitchen, he was crying for a minute and it broke my heart. Well our other kitties are going under the table visiting with him and there is no fighting which is a great sign!! Its just that I have rescude tons of kitties in similar situations and they usually hide for like 24 hours then come out and get freindly ect. this kitty is really really traumatized! I am wondering if he will ever come out of hiding. I wonder if I will ever be able to give him all the love I already have for him!! I can only hope!
It is so odd, I dont care much for people but a kitty I dont even know I am in love with!!! whats that about? lol

Trust me hun, I like cats MUCH more than I like most humans.

I really do bet he'll come around in time. It sounds like it is already starting! My Elliott had nothing to do with me for the first 6 months of his life. Being a feral barn cat, he was TERRIFIED. (His mother was killed by a dog.
) One day though, he decided I wasn't going to kill him after all and he came out to visit with me. I can't pick him up, but now he is a VERY loving cat. He loves nothing more than a good belly rub.
I bet the same will happen with Hoodini.

Time, patience, and Feliway will go a long way. Let him come around on his own terms. He will pick up on your stress, so try to relax and let it just happen. The other kitties visiting him is a great sign! Maybe they'll help him feel more comfortable in his new home.

I know I named him Hoodini and I think it really fits, but hubbby does not like that name. So we are calling him fluffy. But hubby said we want to wait for him to come out and get "normal" so we can name him better by knowing him and his personality. Personally I think Hoodidni is perfect cause he is a master at disapearing!
Anyway, he is really getting more comfortable. He gets along great with all 5 of my kitties. We went out last night when came in we saw ALL of them, even him playing. Everyone scattered.
Late last night he sat just a few feet from me and he sat there for the longest time letting me REALLY see just how beautiful he is!! I talked baby talk to him and he just sat there. Then instead of botling off, he walked away regular pace, crossed the open area living room floor on into the bedroom. NOw THATS practice and a great sign.
When we first brought him in we swore (as we have so many times before) that we would NOT keep him. Well my friends are laughing at me casue they know I am in love and its too late, so now our family is 8 Is Enough! lol
