Showing TICA

My new female (to be delivered in April) attended her last show as a kitten this weekend. Apparently she scored as fourth top kitten overall and finalled in 4 out of 6 rings, taking one best kitten. In December she placed 7th best in a show with one best. Her show name is Emau's Dirty Dancing of Azshara. The show was very competitive and my friends are very excited about her placing. Too bad I can't attend any of her shows as she is a continent away from me!

She wasn't showed a whole lot as a kitten due to time constraints but is a natural show cat and will grand in a few shows as an adult, I am told.

She will grand before I get her, so I am debating showing her in TICA this summer to try and get a quad or a supreme grand championship. TICA shows are so much easier for me to attend and I think it will help me get my name out there and hopefully attract some buyers who are interested in showing. I am wondering how she'll do under TICA since she is obviously quality under CFA standards. Should be in interesting adventure.

You never know until you try.
My Cleo was not suppose to do well in CFA but she does fine.

Sohni - go with what works best for you and the cat. I've given up on CFA in our area after the last show. I only had 2 shows to go to within reasonable driving time. The one club is not sure if they will have a show next year as they lost a lot of money in entries and vendors - which leaves ONE CFA show a year.

I've always done better in ACFA and added it up - I can get to 7-9 ACFA shows within a 6 hr drive! So I'll stick to ACFA shows where the cats do very well and I don't have to fly!
