The kitten we rescued Sat. morning went into hiding. For 2 days we did not hear or see him at all! We thought he was hiding in the bedroom cause thats where we let him out of that horrible trap and he ran under the bed. Well we could not find him. Yesterday afternoon hubby cleaned the entire bedroom and looked everywhere and that kitty was definately not in there! We thought he some how got out but I knew that was just not so because we have 5 of our own and I have had them all my life so we habitually are so caustious when we go in and out watching the floor making sure no one gets by us. But we had no excuse where this little thing could be. Well, last night my TinkerBell was acting crazy. She was crouched in front of the recliner in the living room and I knew the kitty had to be there. Hubby picked up the chair and the kitty flew through the air and went right back into hiding!! So I named him Hoodini! I wish he would come out and trust us, but at least I know he is warm, safe and has food and water thats all I can do and I believe thats enough. Due to the horrible trauma he went through I am afraid he will never be right again. So sad. But he can stay here in hiding as long as he wants, we dont mind. We love him even though we dont know him , yet!

I sure hope he can feel safe soon. I have done this many many times, taking in a scared kitty and they always hide for a day or so but they come out slowly and eventually get comfortable. But this little baby, I just dont know. He is soooo pretty and I know if we can get him to feel safe and comfortable that we could find him a good home. But we just are going to be patient and heck if he wants to hide here for the rest of his life, so be it!!! All I want is for him to be safe and warm and fed.
