Quote:
PRESIDENT OBAMA: "The last thing I will say, though -- let me say this about health care and the health care debate, because I think it also bears on a whole lot of other issues. If you look at the package that we've presented -- and there's some stray cats and dogs that got in there that we were eliminating, we were in the process of eliminating. For example, we said from the start that it was going to be important for us to be consistent in saying to people if you can have your -- if you want to keep the health insurance you got, you can keep it, that you're not going to have anybody getting in between you and your doctor in your decision making. And I think that some of the provisions that got snuck in might have violated that pledge."
There is a video of Barack addressing this issue, in the link, for your viewing pleasure.

Ha, ha, ha, "that got snuck in"......hilarious stuff.

And what about C-Span again?

He's dealing with politicians - so what else is new Look at the lines that got snuck into the various bills during the Bush admin. Hence, the BLM is now using private land to do their wild horse roundups; without the media allowed to be present, per the landowner's request - today, baby horses are falling calamity, wild horses are out there, injured, shocked from being run by helicopters....suffering because the politicians are so sneaky

PLEASE tell me you are not comparing wild horse round ups to a Health Care Bill that will nationalize ONE-SIXTH of our economy! That defies belief.

Just so you know, I live in Nevada, I know about wild horses. You want to place blame, put it where it belongs, on the ranchers.

And an impossible one to keep, since the President is constitutionally not allowed to control the Congress. Anybody who believed this particular lie (and it was exactly that, because the President is a "constitutional scholar," so he knew he couldn't do it) deserves to be shocked and disappointed.

I'd be more concerned about the total abrogation of the idea of keeping lobbyists out of the administration, which even the non-partisan political fact-checking sites call bogus.

I'm just pointing out that politics are exactly that!!!
As for health care, it breaks down to about $1500 per person in preventative care vs. caring for these people thru ERs and critical care. The old adage, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, still holds true.

Anyone who thinks that Congress isn't taking their marching orders from Barack Obama is being very naive IMO.

Some want to excuse the myriad of lies told by Barack Obama for the sole purpose of getting elected, I am not one of them.

Barack told more lies than truths to get elected and people just excuse it. It's pathetic.

"Preventative Care?" You mean, like those annual pap tests and mammograms, THAT preventative care?

I'd love to be able to ask Obama two questions to his face (and him not have a teleprompter to rely on) - Have YOU actually read every page of your so called health care bill and really understand exactly what is in there?

Anyone willing to bet me what the answer is?

And the 2nd question to him would be "If you think its so great, will you be the first one to sign up for it?

Anyone want to guess what the answer would be????

Even the Republicans? If so, I'd love to know what Obama's agenda really is.

I'd love for someone to show me any politician who doesn't lie to get elected.

I'm not at all happy with the way Obama has handled the heath care debacle, but I would vote for him again. The alternative was unthinkable.

I meant the party with the huge majority.

I'd love for someone to show me any politician who doesn't lie to get elected.

So, that make it okay? I got it now.

Ah yes, the "alternative," a man who has served his country with integrity his entire life, it doesn't get much more "unthinkable" than that.

And a woman one heartbeat away from assuming the Presidency who was/is in no way qualified to do so.

I have a great deal of respect for John McCain. But Sarah Palin as president scares the willies out of me.

Love how you can twist things around. I don't see where I said it was okay that they lied, I was saying why single out one politician when all of them do it. It doesn't make it right for any of them. The political system we have now encourages them to lie, rewards them for lying, so why wouldn't they.

Personally, I would have more faith in Sarah Palin than Joe Biden. I could list the dozens of reason why this goofball shouldn't be president. Sarah Palin is a good conservative. I know she is pro-life and many women hate pro-lifers.

Because Barack is the liar in chief, nothing he has said was the truth. I could post a list if you like.

You are so wrong about that being a reason to not want Palin in the presidency. If for no other reason, anyone who can't even be bothered to finish her term as governor before she quits and goes off to earn some money should not be given a job with even more responsibilty. I heard nothing from her that impressed me one iota.

I am pro choice, but I'm NOT pro abortion. Sometimes I think the Right Wingers can't understand that distinction. For a party who wants government to stay out of our business, the right wing sure does want it to be in our business when it comes to abortion, gay rights, etc. Kinda hypocrital, I think.

Do you know WHY she resigned as Governor?

Well, I will tell you.

As soon as Sarah Palin became John McCain's running mate, the left went freaking nuts. I have never seen anything like it in my long life. It was/is so over the top that it can be construed as derangement IMO.

Before the dust cleared the day of the announcement, 30 far left whacko's landed in Wasilla and started digging for dirt. They didn't find any so they started making some up.

Then the untrue, frivolous, baloney, mean spririted, deranged, accusations and lawsuits started. DOZENS of them. Now, I guess she could have let the good taxpayers of Alaska pay all the lawyer's exorbitant fees to defend her.

Would that be fair, though? Are the taxpayers of Alaska responsible for paying because of left's derangement?

I suppose the Palin family could have paid all the lawyer's fees themselves, IF they could have afforded it. The Palin's are not rich and they were buried by ethic accusations and frivolous lawsuits.

What would YOU do Misty?

P.S. All of the above cases and accusations are being DISMISSED, one case at a time. The Left really did their job good, didn't they? They should be so proud.

As for abortion, sorry but it is the Democrats that just love to push the, "The Republicans will revoke Roe V. Wade" mantra.

Question, how many Republican Presidents have we had since Roe V Wade was instituted. FOUR! Four Republican Presidents and not a one of them tried to repeal Roe V Wade.

All that is, is a ploy by the Democrats and N.O.W. to keep women in lock step with the Democrat agenda IMO.
