Anyone familiar with it???

I just got the book and I love it so far - it goes along with much of what my urologists and holistic doctors have told me for years.

I lost 12 lbs just by eliminating gluten from my diet for 2 weeks (celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder, which it's known that I have, just the actually identiy has evaded me so far, because after thousands of $$$ of tests, with yet another $2K necessary
). Last weekend, I did my self-test of eating wheat products on Sat/Sun - the bloat returned with an almost-instant 4lbs regain. Plus, I got a headache Monday night, that lasted till yesterday, although for a migraine, it was a "woosie" and I was able to drive and work (with lots of laying my head down at my desk, eyes closed - fortunately it was cloudy most of the week).

Anyway, I've never really dieted since my DH & I did the Atkins, and that's when all my health concerns really blew up - the autoimmune symptoms became full blown, I had recurring bronchitis; low liver & kidney functioning; recurring shingles; my body rejected 4 root canals & the teeth had to be pulled
That was in 2005 - and now, after this long road back to health, I've found a book that agrees with what my various specialists have told me is good- I'm so excited & optimistic

I read about it on the website, I had never heard about it before. I too agree with every single one of the points they make. I've always thought fat free and low fat products are really bad for you based on things I've read, and I've experienced the sugar high and then crashing wayy too many times..I think this diet is as healthy as can be!! Well, at least based on the few ideas they have on their website.

One Celiac is actaully easy and while not really cheap is not expensive to diagnois... I had the test 16 years ago and found out I am INTOLERANT not celiac... A good thing as gluten will/can KILL a true celiac within a short time frame.. Right now it is the IT /IN diagnosis with drs not really knowing or seeking the true issue

Two the diet is sound but it is not new just a revamp of many older ones. It will work for some and not others just like all the other ones
