Greetings fellow Cat Lovers!

My name is Andrea (or you can call me Andee). I'm an American living in Australia. Been here for 7 years now.

I have one calico cat, who is now 17 years of age. She's back in the US with my folks. I am very much a cat person, so being away from her has been hard for me, especially when I think how old she is.

During my time here in Australia, I have had a few cats back home who have passed away, and that has been hard for me to deal with. I really wish I could have been with them in their time of need. I really hope they didn't suffer much. I know they are happy at the Rainbow Bridge.

It's going to be extremely hard on me when my calico passes on. She has been my best little cat friend ever, and it saddens me to think I won't be there when she crosses over to the Rainbow Bridge.

My hubby, kids and I are going to the US at the end of the year, and I am really looking forward to seeing her. I hope she will remember me. That probably sounds silly I guess.

Guess that's about it from me.

Andrea

Welcome to the site! It must be unbearable to be separated from your beloved cats.
There's actually another member here is a similar situation, so we will just make you an honorary aunt to ALL of our kitties! I know it's not the same, but we try....

Enjoy your time here!

Thanks for the welcomes! Yes, it is extremely hard to be away from my cat. We adopted her from an animal shelter back in 1986, and she became a part of my family. She quickly had me wrapped around her paw, and she became queen of the household.

She's quite a silly little thing. She and I used to chase each other around the house. Strange thing for a cat to do, but she enjoyed it.

She finds it hard to get around these days. My father gives her glucosamine (spelling?) every day, and says that seems to help her a bit.

Ah, I could easily go on and on talking about her. LOL!

Purrs,
Andrea

Hi Andrea, welcome!
I'm a bit late posting, sorry about that.
I'm sure your baby will remember you when you visit her later this year. I checked out your website, Tassie is very cute!
