Ollie

My 15 year old cat Ollie passed away today. His kidneys were failing and he was in the last stages of CRF. He was such a beautiful long haired boy with gorgeous blue eyes. In his prime days he kept his beautiful coat so immaculate. I have had him since he was a little kitten along with his littermate Stanley. They were rescued from a bad situation, and I was supposed to find homes for them, but you know how that goes 15 years later. Stanley is still with us. My husband was his favorite human and he passed away peacefully while Rick held him. He is buried by our deck and I will plant a beautiful lilac bush for him this spring.

RIP Ollie

Play happily over the bridge. Your free from pain and suffering

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry. Ollie had a wonderful long full life, though I'm sure it always feels like it's too soon. I know he will be very missed, but I'm sure he's doing all he can from over the bridge to let you and Rick - and Stanley - know how much he loves you.

Play happily over the bridge, Ollie.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved Ollie. I know how much it hurts. Be sure to pay special attention to Stanley now, he is going to miss his brother and will be grieving too.

Condolences on losing Ollie - may his lilac bush bring you many springtimes of fragrance & beauty, reminding you of the joy & love Ollie brought to your household. I am so glad that he passed in the arms of family, not on a cold, hard table. I held my rb Joey in my arms, too; it is such a comfort to me that his last living moments were being close to me, to feel & hear my heartbeats, my warmth, my loving strokes, my soothing voice...

I am so sorry for your loss. I am in the same place. Speedboat, age 14, died this week too. He also was in end stage renal failure. It hurts so much, but I am glad your Ollie is now free from the suffering. Hugs to you and your family.

Fifteen is a "good" age, but nevertheless far too soon to lose a beloved fur baby. RIP, Ollie.
