Did or do you play sports? Whether it was in school or recreational.

Nope, nothing in school but I was a cheerleader for the city leagues for years.

Yep, I played for my high school chess team. I was a weakling but pretty good at chess and chess is a sport.

in High school I was a fencer. My weapon of choice was a foil but I did like sabre.

In college I took up yoga and the marial arts. I did combat Jujitsu and later Kobudo until injuries knocked me out. I am permantly banned from Jujitsu since I knocked a verterbre out in my neck due to a bad fall and kobudo is still up in the air.

now I do yoga, and pilates and I'm searching for more joint friendly exercises.

In addition...I'm a cyclist and I love to swim. Now I am also loving the Wii Fit.

I played softball for 10 years in the city leagues, but HS was fast pitch and I didn't like that too much

No I never played sports unless you count playing kickball in Gym class. Wasn't very good at that either :-))) I do love watching tho and am a big baseball fan.

Nope. All the way back to kindergarten I'd get sick after any sort of strenuous physical activity, and often get intense chest pain from it. Plus I had some hypermobility and back problems early on.

Still have the same problems but worse now. If I so much as try to run it causes something in my back to catch and my left leg gives out. I'll hop a few steps before momentum takes over and I fall flat on my face - rather funny actually.

I used to be fairly good at dodge ball back in middle school, though. The self preservation streak that makes me dodge and jump away from anything coming at me worked in my favor.

With 3 older brothers, you bet I was into sports. Played softball and volleyball in grade school, softball almost every day during summer vacations. My all-girl high school didn't have a sports program, but I played inter-mural volleyball (class against class, basically). I played volleyball for years at the local Y for a 'tavern-team', and spent 8 years coaching volleyball for our local CYO. Most of that was working with 5th and 6th graders.

At one wonderful point in time, before I became an old woman, I was coaching 3 nights a week, playing at the Y one night, and getting together with a church group one night for several hours. I miss it tremendously.

Now I'm relegated to walking, watching my beloved Chicago Cubs, and doing strengthening exercises for my bad back and knees.

I ran cross-country and pole vaulted in high school. When I was in college, I used to do orienteering, which is where you run through the woods with a map and compass along a course and find a series of points.

Gee, I forgot about bowling. Never did it with any regularity, but have enjoyed it occasionally -- which translates to one outing every 10 years or so.

I was a speed skater in high school. I never won anything, but I really enjoyed it.
Learned to bowl as a young adult and belonged to a mixed doubles league, on a team of co-workers. We were sponsored by our vascular surgeon, and we called ourselves the "Em-bowl-ectomies" (a bit of O.R. humor...we thought it was absolutely hilarious!) Truthfully, we were really a drinking team that bowled together. We were always dead last in the league!
