I have not been on much lately with work and school and all that jazz. But I wanted to share this with ya'll.

Me and the husband was down at the lake yesterday for this leadership competition I am in this year. We took a lot of pictures in a lot of locations and there and was heading back to the truck. I had my door open and was getting ready to get in the truck when all of a sudden 2 fighter jets came screaming by at 200 feet above tree level, roughly. It scared my so bad I hit the deck yelling.

This was my husband
when it happened because at one point in time you lived right next to a naval air-strip so you would think I would be used to it. But nope after 6 years living here it scared the crud out of me. I did not have the camera on camcorder or I would have a video of it.

Oh man! That was a jolt. I was at my son's house while he was on vacation. I was feeding his cats. It was summer and I was outside. He lives on what I call a prairie.

All of a sudden two huge planes from the Niagara Falls Air Base rumbled over my head. They came out of no where. Again, like you, maybe 200 feet up. I ran for shelter under his picnic shelter. I could see the color of the pilots eyes! Well, not really. But they prob had a good chuckle at me. People have been complaining of the low flights. But this was in a rural area, so I guess they do what they have to do.

Yeah it was really rural where we were at. There are a few houses around the lake and a lot of pasture land. Funny thing was, I was scared to death, but the cows and what not did not seem at all bothered.

Wow - I bet that would have made for a great video if someone had been recording

Shortly after I moved out here, hubby and I were taking a bike ride along the river. A train blew its horn (on the other side of the river) but I wasn't expecting it and was so startled that I nearly fell off my bike - hubby nearly fell off his from laughing so hard
