This is Loony:

I'm still wandering how exactly did this little beautiful kitten...

...grow up to be this jumbo 17 pound mega-cat:

He would be the perfect cat if he wouldn't have the bad habit of "bothering" little Luna just for the fun of it! I really don't know why he is overweight because he really doesn't eat that much and he is very active.

This is Luna:

I got Loony from a pet store outside a Mall. The poor fellow was clinging to his cage when he saw me, I couldn't walk away, he had a worried "don't leave me here" face. 5 dollars.

And I found Luna in another pet store, for 70 bucks.
They are properly neutered, of course.

I don't usually "buy" my cat's I prefer to find and adopt a homeless one, now that my family's line of cats has finally vanished. I didn't find any at the time and I had recently lost my Rausa. I was desperate for feline company! That was two years ago.

I must say that I'm encountering problems resizing the images to fit the requirements of this site.

The easy way to resize a photo is to download Irfanview, a free photo program. Small, elegant, and quite powerful.

Or, when you upload them to flickr or whatever, when you grab the photo location to link to, choose one of the smaller sizes.

Yep! I'm using a Photobucket account, I resized successfully all but two of the images. I don't understand why those two resist to be downsized. I even reloaded them. It is a lot of time to downsize every one of them. Size isn't an issue in other places where I post.

If you ever post pics here and they overwhelm you with size, there's a little trick for fast resizing on Internet Explorer --resize your entire window by clicking the down arrow in the extreme bottom right of the browser

Then select 50% or 75% or custom% - If your text becomes tiny & you can't read it, then you did it correctly. then press the PrtSc button on your keyboard (next to F12) then paste into a simple image app and save the smaller files as JPG files. Some folks might not think it's faster but I do

OMG! Hi
and welcome to TCS! I love your kitties, what great pictures and captions! Isn't it amazing how something so tiny, fits in the palm of your hand, can become a workout every evening to carry them around
?!
Looking forward to seeing more pics!

Lovely kitties. BTW - Loony isn't overweight, he is ... um.... he's uhhh... he's got a stocky build! Yeah, that's it.
Seriously though great pics and gorgeous cats!

Could you believe that I've never even noticed that little arrow? let alone ask myself what it is for. Thanks for the tip, I'll practice using it to make things easier to post here.

Luna is a beauty - I like the long tail
I've lived with many many cat's trough my life but no other one is even close to the mass and size of this guy.

Luna is all loving and purring!

Handsome kitties!

My Aristotle grew from a little thing into a big cat like Loony. Not fat, just big.

They're both just beautiful - and, while I'm with you regarding adopting kitties, you did, I think, rescue them from the pet shops. I really wish all the pet stores would just start working with shelter groups to adopt out kitties - I know logistically it can be tougher with dogs, but still....

But thank you for giving these two such a loving home.

With enough practice you'll find a rhythm and you'll never want to use Photobucket's slow resizing steps. I have a shortcut to "Paint" on my desktop so my rhythm stays fast throughout.

I can't comment on Irfanview because I've never tried it but TCS members seem to like it. It gets mentioned a lot here.

And for reading, you can bump up a small font webpage by choosing 125% or 150%. Click, presto, no more fine print -better for eye health. A girl at my old job would always drop her pages to 75% because she was a report processor and wanted to preview her stuff before printing. That's how I learned about it.

Yep. you're right. Especially Loony, I got Luna already neutered in a pet store run buy a cat lover-vet who treated them very well, he even permitted Luna to roam around the place as opposed to remaining in a cage. I noticed his care in Luna's loving and human-trusting character.
