What do you mean that Sandy Koufax is dead?

Well, I walk into the local CVS and there is our vet, Dr. Mona Miller on the check out line. We say "Hi!" and I tell her that Butzie is just fine. Then I say, "Oh! But Sandy Koufax died" (for those who don't know, probably the best pitcher ever). You should have seen the look on the face of the guy in front of her.
Then I said, "But we still have Whitey Ford, but he is dumber than ditchwater, but very pretty." (another great pitcher). Then I thought that the guy was really going to faint! Koufax and Ford are both still alive and I don't think that Whitey Ford is very good looking and I really would never say that he is dumber than ditchwater!

Nay! He just keep saying, "What a good boy! What a big, pretty budgie!"

I had to look at your siggy to get that one!
I take it the guy in front of you was a baseball fan.

Being a baseball fan, that is really funny. In fact the title of your thread shocked me. Glad all are alive and well.

When I read the thread title my first thought was, "OMG! I wonder if Joe knows!" Joe is one of my older brothers, and I don't think there was ever a bigger Sandy Koufax fan. That's all he talked about as a teenager, when he was a pitcher himself (high school and college). Koufax was his idol

Thanks for clearing it up.
