Yup, I know its early but....

Do you have any plans for Valentines day? Do you normally "do something" or is it just another day?

It doesn't matter if you're single or a couple.... Valentines day can still have meaning....

Dana and I don't have plans yet, but we DO want to do something special. We were thinking maybe just a small road trip and maybe stay overnight in a nice hotel, but it will depend on the money situation. As long as I am with him, it doesn't matter what we do.

That is also our anniversary, and we always say we are going to do something special, but by the time we get off work, go out and try to find somewhere to have dinner, always finding everything mad busy and crowded, we usually go home and spend the evening together, maybe having a few drinks and a movie. We try to give each other small gifts or get something for the house, too.
This will be our 25th, so we may make a little more effort, but if we don't that's ok. We have had 25 mostly great years, a lot of it because we still enjoy each other's company.

There is a couple in our church who always do a sit down formal dinner for couples only from our church. She decorates everything in red and white. There is a wonderful backdrop scenery and a photographer to take couples pictures. When each couple arrives, there are several teenagers from the church as waiters and waitresses. They are dressed formal, with pads in hand. They take each couples order for the meal and there are at least two choices for the entree, salad, dessert, beverage. Usually 20 to 25 couples come. It is a great time.

To me it's just another day. But then again, I don't know of any restaurants that would let me bring my kitties to the table
. And I doubt they would have cat food on the menu

The only thing I have planned this year is to NOT be designing on that day!!! Ya!!! This will be the first year in ages that I don't have plans to be designing as I'm in school now and not working at a flower shop right now.
(Don't get me wrong, I do love it....but just not on Valentines...In a flower shop it's called "hell week" for a reason!)

I'm sure Jack will come up with something though.
I think we're supposed to have breakfast with his family after church that morning.I'm sure Jack will think of something fun that night for us to do. Reguardless of what it is, I'm sure it'll be better than the way I spent my Valentines Day last year!

Krazy Kat2, happy anniversary!

DH and I don't make plans, as it's a Sunday I'll probably just make an extra nice dinner.
I already got him a box of chocolates that were on sale after Christmas. I said "happy Valentines" and gave them to him, and he promptly hid them from me.

Nope. no plans and have never made any in the last 9+ years. We do, however, go buy Valentine candy together the next day when it goes on sale at stores.

Happy Anniversary Rebecca!

...Gary and I do cards and say Happy Valentines Day to each other.
It's not a very special day in our book - too close to my birthday, and we tell each other we love and appreciate each other every day anyway.

Usually just another day. We're not huge holiday celebrators to begin with, and Valentines is one of the lesser ones in our world. I'll be lucky if I get a card.
