I was sitting on the couch, talking on the phone, doodling on some paper. Bella was dozing off beside me. The phone call ended and I wadded up the paper and tossed it across the room at the trash can. Bella's ears perked up, eyes got big and she lunged at the paper. She batted it around on the floor for a couple of seconds--then she picked it up and brought it back to me!!!!!!!! I picked it up and threw it down the hall. Again, she brought it and returned it!! And she never walks, she runs, she bounds everywhere she goes. Now, I have a cat that fetches?? I really learn something new about her every day. She has come along way from that terrible place she was before.

I used to have a cat who would fetch as well and the funny thing is her name was Isabella, but we called her Bella.

Kailie! That is so wild! So cats can fetch. I learn something new everyday. It makes me wonder what else she can do that I don't know about yet. A few chores around the apartment would help me out a lot!!!

as for chores, perhaps we could chuck a dustbrush and as they drag it back to us, they'll clean up a bit. haha.

Neko fetches too! I always show her off when family comes over! She'll even jump in the air to catch it or smack it then brings it back to me! Its actually become a little annoying since its become her FAVORITE thing to do! As soon as i get home from work or school and sit on the couch she brings me a pony tail holder (yes i know these can be dangerous if ingested, but she wouldn't dare lose them! Fetching is more important). If i dont toss it she will meow at me non-stop!! I'm just glad she's exercising. And she brings me the same one, so i know she's not eating them. She even brings them to me when I'm sleeping at 7am!!! There will be no fetching at 7 in the morning

Yup. Some kitties DO INDEED play fetch! I looked after one kitty at the adoption center at the nearby PetSmart who would BRING his fave toy to me or BF so we could play!!! He would snatch it away... run... play with it and then drag it back so we could make it jump around some more... (feather duster on a stick!)

Prissy fetches about 50% of the time. However, Smudge seems to learning from her.... Oh dear. It's adorable when they do it, but I really hope it doesn't become one of those things they wake me for at 3 am.
Cuddles doesn't really fetch so much as he'll just suddenly bring me a toy out of nowhere. I've figured out that he wants me to scruff him up will good with it, rub it on his belly so he can kick it's guts out, and then toss it so he can tackle it and spend the next 30 minutes chewing on it.
