I'm still so pissed off about last weekend that I have to write it down in case it helps.

Friday started fine, and I decided to go to visit my friend. While there we had few drinks, had fun and decided to go to a bar. Bad idea. About 15 minutes before we were going to leave the bar someone stole my wallet and my camera.
To make things worse, my friend had just paid me a loan, over 200€ cash... And the camera had about 1000 pics on the memory stick and there were some great kitty pics which I took of my friend's cats and Tomu's 1st birthday pics.
I would be a lot more calm about this but those pictures were special and now I can't ever have them back. I always keep very good care of my belongings but this time I have no idea how someone got them without me noticing anything. I feel so stupid.

Saturday I got the flu which is just getting worse, and I lost my voice for 2 days so I couldn't call any important calls I was supposed to. And it came out that TICA has sent Luna's registration-papers to a wrong address. No wonder I haven't got them yet.. And they seem to have dyslexic people working in there.

I didn't have my ID in the wallet, luckily.. But my name of course could be found and I think there's only one other person with same name in this country than I do. And now that I've reported the stuff stolen, it would be easy for them to get caught. And with this identity their life would suck so it would be their loss...
Identity thefts are rare around here as far as I know, small country so maybe it's too risky or something.

I'm going to call the bar today when it opens to ask if they've found any of my things. Usually people dump the 'useless' stuff somewhere near so maybe they left something in there.

vibes that your identity stays safe

y'know, i'm prone to these types of things happening whenever i socialize. for me, it's because i get so caught up in the "fun" climate, my normally careful side relaxes a little too much. i remember leaving a plastic bag on the floor of a crowded shop and the bag had cash inside. the only reason why cash was in a plastic bag was because i was soooooooo caught up with giggly-wiggly-willy-nilly-oh-it's-so-fun-to-socialize socializing and the "pace" of such socializing can be so quick, with rapid verbal banter not helping, you don't do things you normally would (e.g. put bills & coins (change) in a sensible place, not inside a plastic bag and then the bag ends up on the floor etc)

i can definitely empathize with you
