Kitty with double personality!

I was having some questions regarding my kitten's behavior. Benny has slept in my room since I brought him home and he is just the sweetest puss , but when I let him go to other parts of the house he turns into someone else entirely, he rans away from me! and any other person that tries to pet him. What's up with this behavior? . Is it in any way normal?

He might be trying to get you to play a chase game with him. He also might want to explore and thinks you'll put him back in the room if you catch him. Kittens like to run sometimes for no reason, just for fun and to use up energy.
