Wondering if someone could give me some input on this situation.
About a week and a few days ago we adopted 2 new kitten's, one male and one female both siblings. We knew we would have our hands full when trying to introduce them to our old Female siblings.
The problem is its been a week and our older cats still dont seem like they are making any improvements.
During the day we keep the kittens in a different room, and at night when the house has calmed down we let them out to explore, while we keep a close eye on them. One of our older cats keeps her distance but lets everyone know shes there with long growls and hiss's. The other cat *peaches* will watch close by, in standby stance soto speak (standby) to do what i am unaware. If the kittens get close to Peaches she will sniff their butt's, hiss, and slap them. No yelps from the kittens so far.
Today we had the male kitten Panda in the hallway, and Peaches was in the bathroom door way about a foot from each other. Panda took off down the hallway and Peaches took off after him, i was really scared at first. Peaches ran along side him keeping eye contact and then stopped sideways in front of him, tail down, streamlined but no growls, no ears pinned back.
Im not sure if this was a sign of aggression or more of a hey you shouldn't be down this far.
