Since I am trying different food with my 2 kittens, I found out some of the food they are allergic too. I would like to see if there is a protein that most cats are allergic to than the others.

My Bugsy is allergic to chicken... My cats have been doing better since I removed grains from their diet.

I'm not marking an answer on the poll, since Holland isn't allergic to anything that I know of. She's been fed Science Diet dry food since I got her, the only treats she's ever really been interested in are Greenies, and she only gets wet food as a treat for getting her nails trimmed. Because of her pickiness with treats, I've stuck with Science Diet wet food for her treats. I've tried different flavors and she's seemed to like them all.

Regarding food allergies, my girls aren't allergic to anything, but Hannah has feline herpes, so she has to avoid anything with grain. Now, if we're talking airborne allergens, I think she's allergic to mtn cedar.

Some of you are just so lucky with cats that are not allergic to anything.

Mine aren't allergic to anything that I know of, but there is something in the Meow Mix market select cups that gives Riley diarrhea.

My Panther is same as Mandy. Is that all what Mandy is allergic to?

I voted "other" My Neko is allergic to peas! She'll itch and bite like crazy! Corn seems to make her throw up, maybe just a sensitivity. She also has a sensitive stomach, so limited ingredients are important for her.

I marked beef, but it's only one cat and not a true allergy. Merlin gets diarrhea from it. Unfortunately it's also the one flavor that all of my other cats love. So if I'm going to feed beef I have to lock Merlin up until the girls finish their meal. That does not make for a happy kitty.

Mikey is allergic to corn/wheat/soy. I'm not sure which but since getting him off of foods with wheat/corn/soy he has not had a problem.

I wonder what it is? I haven't tried them since when I just have Sho and Tomas as it was some pretty funky diarrhea - especially out of Tomas.

Worked with a vet who determined chicken for Tomas. Feeding him everything but foods with chicken and turkey (since the two are usually mixed together in canned foods anyways) seems to work fine.
Corn issues with Sho, which is simple enough to avoid since they're mostly eating wet food.
No idea what Sherman's is - Tomas won't stay out of his food so it made testing things difficult. He splits cans with Tomas, and that works. (Tomas isn't as eager to steal it that way, too)

Non-food - Tomas has issues with household dust. Makes him start coughing, sneezing, and gets redden eyes. Clay litters cause him to sneeze and get the red eyes, too.
Siri has bug bite allergies to fleas and especially mosquitoes. Makes her get really nasty scabby bumps that didn't want to heal (looked like EGC, though vet didn't want to test for it). She itched so much that she pulled clumps of fur and skin off her chest leaving tiny open sores..

That's the only thing that's made her sick so far. She's been able to eat chicken, turkey, rabbit, venison, pheasant & quail with no problems. The house favorite is definitely rabbit!!
