Over the last 8 months, I've ended up spending an almost obscene amount of money on cameras, lens and support goodies. So, it only made sense to back it all up with good software, so I took the plunge and bought Photoshop. And sooooo glad I did.

This is an old photo of Hobo Skimbleshanks getting himself into trouble (again) that was taken with a camera phone. It's always been one of my favorites, but it was always just a so so picture photography wise. But just a few minutes in Photoshop cleaned it up just mavvvelously.

That is such an awesome pic! I have to agree with you, Photoshop is awesome. I have had a lot of fun with Maia in PS!

Photoshop is by far the best editing program available (and they charge for it accordingly)

Great picture!

Wow what a difference!

I have an older version of photoshop, but can never figure out how to do anything but crop and resize pictures in it

So, here's a comparison...

Your original:

My re-touched sample:

That was done with Irfanview, which I have found does a great job on most photos, and fails miserably on some. And it's free.

I actually had Photoshop, and found it was much more versatile and therefore much more complicated than I had time to learn! I sat in on a Photoshop class on a cruise ship, and I was just amazed at what the instructor could do with it.

Ooh, coolness. I have to look that one up, I'd not heard of it. Still like me Photoshop though, because I shoot in RAW format, and Photoshop is supposed to be able to do magical things with RAW.

That is a lovely pic!! I love it. Great job on cleaning it up with PhotoShop. I wish I had that program too, I've been trying to learn how to use PhotoStudio and Gimp. PhotoStudio came with my camera.

my hubby deals with RAW images also, only they take up so much room.

cat on a curtain! so cute. i really appreciate photoshop's clone feature. i was able to take a cousin's wedding photo and remove an entire person obstructing her white dress using this feature. i picked a pristine section of the white dress and kept cloning, cloning, cloning, until the person was erased. it didn't take long
and almost fun
