Just a few pictures from Christmas that I FINALLY got off the camera, lol.

Xander checking out the in-law's house.

Riley and his spring

Santa brought great toys!

Maybe we'll just play with the tissue paper instead

Closely watching daddy's plate, hoping for a bite

Does this box make me look fat?

No cats here, but thought I would throw in the little snowman cake I made for Christmas dinner, LOL

Ohhh the FUR on those babies!
I just want to snuggle with them! My kitties really love those springs too, especially Shadey.

And thanks, now I want cake.

Awww, there's our handsome boys.

Isis loves her springs too.
Dexter could care less.

The picture of them watching their daddy's plate is hilarious.

The infamous cat stare.

Beautiful cats, and as others have noted, that cake looks great!

Did your in-laws buy presents for the cats? I only ask because I was shopping in a pet supply shop for cat gifts right before the holiday, and I ran into a woman who looked a little befuddled. I said "Hey, the cats have to have Christmas too," and she laughed, saying, "It's not even my cat! I have to buy a gift for my daughter's cat!"

I love the handsome fluffy brothers! That picture of them trying to stare your hubby into giving them food cracks me up because they have the same look of intensity on their faces. And, yeah, I'd like a piece of the cake, please.

If it is just overnight, I will leave them home but anything else and they go with us. They both travel pretty well (Xander cries for about 30 minutes, then he's fine) and neither are too nervous in strange places. I couldn't stand to leave them!

My kitties love their springs to death! Literally, they're all stretched out all over the house.
I am about to order more.

That said - I love those fluffy kitties! There's something about Xander's face that is so adorable.

love the attentive look on their faces! How do you get any meal finished with those two staring you down?
well done on the cake! It looks fantastic.
Riley and Xander are such gorgeous fluff bombs, and they look so much alike. It's like they were meant to be brothers.

Springs are pretty much the one toy (other than Da Bird) that Riley never gets bored with

There's no place like home
Your little fluff boys are so adorable Paula!!

Scarlett gives us the same look as Riley when we're eating, particularly anything with pork in it.

And your cake is absolutely gorgeous!! I didn't realize that you are so talented!!

There's those gorgeous boys!
Wonderful pictures Paula!

So, I have a question for those who have the springs... What are the ends like? Are they sharply cut, with kind of a sharp edge, or do they have a flat edge? I'm wondering because we use springs just like those at work for spiral binding, but I'm not sure about the edges and if I should bring home some of the extra ends, which are about the same length as the toys, or not.

Hmmm, the edge is just a flat edge where it was cut, it looks like. They are very durable though and Riley has been unable to chew them into pieces no matter how hard he tries
They just bend instead.

I guess it would depend on how durable the coil binding pieces were. You wouldn't want them to be able to bite pieces off them.

The ends are cut flat, not at all sharp. I've stepped on them with bare feet many times, and rolled over in bed to find one by my face & never gotten cut.

And they are quite durable, like Riley Eden tries to chew them to pieces, so far with no success.
