I think it's hilarious how my cats behave when I bring work home (which is almost every night).

If I work at my dining table, one cat would be sleeping on my lap or on my shoulders while another cat sleeps on top of my laptop bag, another cat on top of a pile of papers, another cat behind the laptop and another cat at my feet.

If I work from my couch, then one cat would be in my lap, one cat on the cushion behind my back, 1-2 cats besides me and one on my footstool.

I wonder if they feel they need to supervise me or is this their way of giving me a guilt trip about working and not giving them more attention?

What does YOUR cats do while you're working from home??

What does any cat do when you're doing something other than paying attention to them?

Walk over it. Sit on it.

Depending on the severity of the infraction, possibily try to eat or destroy it...

Holland LOVES to sit on my laptop. She's the reason I don't have an "r":

She's no longer allowed to lie on the computer, but the funny thing is she always tries to "sneak" onto laying on the keyboard when I'm sitting RIGHT THERE!!

In her glory days:

I leave work at work.
Home time is ME time!

However, that being said, if I'm doing anything on the laptop, Shadey especially will try to still get on my lap and just lay on the laptop.
Most of the others will just lay "around" me and wait for me to put it away, then make a mad dive for my lap, seeing as there are 8 cats and only one lap. They're usually pretty good at fitting at least 3 on there at any 1 given time though.

I'm pretty sure Stimpy gets jealous of my laptop, he tries to lay across my lap and block me from using the keyboard.

The seat of a John Deere tractor
My winter work is at home and two of the barn cats love to accompany me in my snow removal efforts, however, I am not sure if it is because of the company or the fact that the tractor has heat
I do have to watch them in summer though - don't think either would be thrilled with 12+ hours on a tractor or in a truck miles from home, so I must decat whatever I am driving.

House cats don't much care as long as I stop and pet them once in a while.

It's a good thing that most of my work is done on the computer, because as soon as I lay a piece of paper down Nico is trying to eat it and/or steal it. One evening I decided to work in bed and when I was done I left my stack of papers on the bedside table. I woke up in the middle of the night to my Nico racing across the bed with the first pages of my proposal in his mouth
. Thank goodness for a colour photocopier
, otherwise I would have had to explain all the bite marks.

Between dogs, reptiles, and the naughty kitty I am surprised I have been allowed to ever finish anything of value around here as far as paperwork goes
My kitty loves to tear and eat and spit back out paper too, including money

Both my husband and I work from home.

Lilly stays on my husband's desk all day so she can be right next to him. Yes...she does annoy him occasionally when she just HAS to be petted and he is working on something important.

Forrest stays in my studio with me. Usually he is on the couch behind my desk or on the floor. He's a Mommy's boy.
Unfortunately he'll become a little devil monkey and leap onto the back of my chair, biting and growling and then leap onto my keyboard and desk. It always frightens me a bit - even though he does it all the time. He seems to enjoy startling me like that.

Zachary has been spending most of his days laying in the sun in his new bed. He just loves it. He'll come and check on my husband and I occasionally throughout the day to say hello.

We love having cats with us all day and cannot imagine not having them around.

I don't really bring work home, but I do have to study/do schoolwork a lot.

Depending on the kitties mood, they are usually just shocked that I would do anything other than love and adore them constantly,
.

Luke likes to rub up against notebooks and try his very very hardest to either get into my lap or onto the notebook (since I study on the couch lap/notebook are usually the same thing). If that fails he'll sit on the back of the couch and headbutt me/try to eat my hair until I pay attention to him.

Harvey just talks and talks and talks. And then he'll get up on the couch and start giving gentle but insistent love nibbles on my fingers/toes/whatever he can find. As well as purr as loud as he can and roll over and over until I say "Aww, how cute" and rub his belly.

Danny is a pen thief!! He'll try and naw on it while I'm writing or bat at it (causing several several penmanship mistakes.) If I sit the pen down even for a second he'll grab it and carry it off and then bring it back to play fetch. He also tries to eat the paper.
