Confined Snuggler

Our female Ragdoll, Annie, likes to get under the covers and snuggle up against my legs in bed. I have never seen this behavior in one of our cats before; most of them would absolutely HATE being THIS confined!

She actually wakes me up by licking my face so I can lift the covers for
her to scoot under.

I get a little concerned about her suffocating under there so I lift the covers periodically to give her fresh air.

Does anyone else have a furry friend(s) who enjoys this type of confined snuggling?

Holland does the same thing! She snuggles under the covers when I first go to bed, then usually she'll want back in early in the morning so I get to cuddle for a while before I get up too. I used to worry too about her suffocating, but I figure if she keeps going under there it must not be uncomfortable for her!

I always know when she wants to "go under" (as I put it) - she stands on my pillow next to my head and looks at me like "OK, lift up the covers now!". I lift the covers up, she goes in and pretty much attaches herself to my leg.

Fatman likes to lay under the covers but mostly when Im not in bed....I kick ALOT! Him and BF will sleep together in the mornings if I let them alone and Fatman is crawl under the covers and sleep there all day long. I used to worry about him suffocating under there but I figured cotton breathes so he must be able to breath...and if he didnt like it he wouldnt do it!

If I curl up with a blanket on the couch, Imhotep ALWAYS needs to be under there cuddling with me.

Gracie loves being under covers. If I can't find her anywhere else, I know I can always find her under my bed covers. .

Speck, Daisy, and Siamie all like to sleep under the covers, though not at the same time (that would be an undercover insurgency ). I used to worry about suffocation, too (and it still drives DH crazy). But the way they sleep all piled up as kittens looks almost more dangerous. (And since I sleep with my head covered up, I don't have much room to talk. )

Coda does the exact same thing! And if her paws are cold she makes sure to put them against me to warm them up.

Lucy likes to do it about 2 am. She will dig at the covers until we lift the sheets.

Katachtig, my Prissy does the same as your Lucy. She will start by silently sitting on my pillow. If I don't get the hint she'll do a little "squeek", very polite. After that, she starts digging at the blanket right where she wants me to lift.

Sometimes all she wants is to get a good look under the covers. I'm not sure if she's making sure no one else is in "her" spot, or if she's checking for monsters. Most of the time tho she will curl up right against my tummy. that's the safest place, as I kick and flail my arms, but I don't ever come out of fetal position.

You lucky people! I haven't had a Burrower since my Bibbs (rb 3/05) went to the Bridge. She was my Burrower, and Sissy (rb 12/97) before her.

None of my current cats like to sleep under blankets. Mazy sleeps at my neck, and Tolly sleeps in my arms, and Jennie sleeps at the crook of my legs, but on top of the covers.

All mine get under the covers, very common with Ocicats. Not so much fun for me in the Summer

I can only hope that Lucy curls against me. She prefers to plant her feet in my stomach and push. As she is usually planted against Much on top of the covers, I have four little feet digging in.

My cat does the same, but in addition she drool's when she's happy

Rosalie did that for a few weeks after we got her (she was 6 weeks when we got her) but Zoey's all about being under the blankets and cuddling up against my leg, lol.
