He has come so far since the hoarder and shelter. His coat is like silk, and all of the yellowing is gone. He has lovely ice white to contrast his blue points. He's gained a good pound and we are going to maintain that. He does seem sensitive to certain foods. There have been a couple of flavors of moist food that he has projectile vomited. His poops are better on dry food as well.
The fun part has been working with him and clicker training. He LOVES treats and will do a lot to get them. So far he knows "up" for jump up, "rub" so he rubs his head gently without biting, and "sit" just because I wanted to teach it to him. He really loves the mental stimulation of the training. He can be meowing his little head off, and then after a 10 minute session he will curl up and sleep. He has also fetched his fuzzy ball toys a few times. I just need to have the clicker ready so I can reinforce that behavior.
He is still a bit inclined to be oral. He will mouth me but it's very inhibited. Now, Chloe mouths me, but she usually does it when she is grooming my hand. Boomer is still a teeny bit on edge. I think with more work that behavior will go away.
For the first time since I have had him he rolled around and stretched on the floor when I was petting him. That was a breakthrough.
I think he might need yet another ear mite treatment. That ear is still itchy and his equilibrium seems off. When you try to pick him up he does "barrel rolls" as if he were falling and has to right himself. I hope the damage isn't permanent.
He and Chloe have had a few spats. She initiates them. She will only tolerate his loud "boyness" for so long and then she gives him a decent sized correction. No blood, or even fur lost, it just sounds like holy hell.
So that's where we are right now. I didn't know what he would turn out to be. So far most of it is positive!

Yaaaaaayyyyy!!!!!
One of my boys does that "roll" when I pick him up... and I don't think he has any equilibrium problems... he is a wonderful leaper with great balance. But if his ears are still itchy, yeah, by all means... treat those darn mites.
