I'm copying and pasting this from a board that allows you to say whatever you want however you want to say it. I'm going to edit the language but I apologize if anything slips through. I can't write this twice.

Nuts has lost a pound in less than a week. Well almost a pound. He was 9.7 lbs last week and he's 8.8 lbs today. I can't afford to take him to the vet and even if I did I don't know what good it will do. He's eating just fine so I have no idea why he suddenly dropped the weight. He needs that pound, he is not nor has he ever been fat, he's over 36" nose to tail so he needs the extra pound and needs to keep putting on weight. I will say I wouldn't have known had I not weighed him but now that I think about it he has felt lighter. Attitude has gained .2 lbs in the same less than a week from 7.2 lbs to 7.4 lbs so I doubt it's the scale being messed up(about normal weight gain for her.)

OK, the lowdown- Nuts 7 months old, was 9.7 lbs last week, is now 8.8 lbs, can't afford to go to the vet and don't know what good it would do if I did. He isn't acting different, being his normal self, nothing is different except the weight loss and as I said I only noticed because I weighed him. He has leukemia.

Am I being overly paranoid or do I need to go beg on the streets to get him to the vet or use my child support to take him and hope my mom doesn't ask about my child support situation because she will flip if she finds out I used child support to take Nuts to the vet. I currently have $7 to my name and that is child support and the AG claims I should be getting the latest payment to my card tomorrow. Or should I wait a week weigh him again and worry about it then if he hasn't gained anything.

Ok, just re-weighed him and he's at 9.2 lbs, so he's lost half a pound in less than a week. Whatever it is, he's lost weight and he's supposed to be gaining weight, not losing it.
