Introducing myself and the Excellent Eight kitties!

Hi there everyone!

My name is Kailie and I am brand new to this forum but certainly no newbie when it comes to being owned by cats. I live in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, with the love of my life, Dana. We're both involved with Ca-r-ma (Cat Rescue Maritimes) which a TNR program here for stray/feral cats and we also foster for the Saint John Animal Rescue League. We're owned by the Excellent Eight cats, so let me tell you a little about them

This is Shadey. He is a 7 year old Maine Coon mix who I adopted from the local animal shelter. He is a big cuddle bug who loves to knead but can be quite dominant when he wants to be.



This is Elliott. He is a 7 year old boy who was adopted from an ad in the newspaper that said "Kittens in desperate need of home, mother killed by dog." He was very feral when he came to me, but is now a very loving, sweet boy who loves belly rubs.



This is Imhotep. He is a 7 year old Snowshow Siamese who was adopted from the same shelter Shadey came from. I went with my Mom to adopt her second kitty and he was sitting there with these huge blue eyes just waiting to come home with me. He is such a doll, very much my soulmate cat and a great lap warmer. He is also top cat around here.



This is Osiris who is 5 years old. His mother, Nefertiti, came to me as a pregnant stray and had 3 beautiful kittens on my bed, with me petting her the whole time. Tragically Nefertiti died suddenly 2 years ago. Osiris is a HUGE lovey, happy cat who drools when he purrs.



Cleopatra II is Osiris's sister, so she is also 5 years old and is a little princess but has total "cattitude" when she wants to lol.



Nova is a 2 year old boy who came into my life with his Daddy, my boyfriend Dana. Dana took him in when he was rescued off the streets by a friend of his. Nova is a polydactyl, very cuddly and sweet, but SUPER hyper and likes to cause trouble.



Azizi is 1 year old boy who we adopted from an ad we saw online. Dana really wanted a kitten and who was I to say no? The people we adopted him from were very irresponsible and had far too many animals running around who were not spayed/neutered. Aziz is a super loving kitten, who loves to play and cuddle with anyone willing!



Teyah is about a year old and is the newest member of our family. She was a pregnant stray who we fostered for the shelter. She came to us very sick with an URI that passed on to her 3 kittens when they were born. 1 died the next day and a second died at 4 weeks of age, in my arms. Teyah and her remaining kitten grew strong and well under our care. Her kitten found a wonderful home with a friend of mine and because she is such a sweet cat who got along so well with the others, we adopted her permanently last Friday. She was just spayed on Monday and is doing very well!



So there you have it folks. I hope I haven't bored you all to death, and I look forward to contributing around here and getting to know you all.
