Hey,
I have been seeing a strange cat in my yard recently which I think is a stray. Thing is, tho, it seems rather friendly, but at the same time scared stiff and I really don't know what to make of this cat. It's a male orange/ginger colored cat and, I'm not sure, but it seems to have silver eyes. Like, I made eye-contact with it, and at first I thought its eyes were white. Is that normal or something? I'm starting to wonder if I was seeing things.
That aside, tho, this cat seems to be behaving oddly. Once, when I was exiting my car, I saw it standing almost a meter away and when I walked to it, it just calmly walked off and crawled under my neighbors car. Then, this morning, I found the poor thin critter had somehow made it into my balcony-ish-place, well, a sort of outdoor room my cats hang out in. It's got a metal diamond grid which is big enough to fit even a large sized cat through and is covered in a sort of netting which my cats push out of the way when they enter, so as to keep out any other critters and give my cats their own space.
Well, anyway, the stray cat got into the balcony and was eating from the dish. It had looked pretty tame before, so I went outside to see if it would let me get close, but then it went somewhat crazy. I think I caught it off guard. At first, it looked at me and took a few steps toward me, like it wanted to come over, but then it turned around to get away and didn't know how to exit the balcony, so what it did was that it started climbing up the netting 'til it reached the roof (Around 24/25 feet high) and then it pushed aside the netting from all the way up there and jumped out! I had instantly retreated out of the balcony when it had started to panic, but it jumped out anyway.
So I was wondering, would it have gotten hurt from such a fall? I think it landed on its feet. Also, how would I be able to tame such a cat? It seems to have already befriended my own two cats, Boo and Jasmine, and I feel I would certainly like to befriend it myself.
Sorry, btw, if this isn't the right board.
