My 10 year old male tabby nudered cat was throwing up foam. We took him to a vet and the blood test came out Ok, but he may need surgery. We feed him Sucralfate through a syringe, as well as Famotidine and Tylosin. He has been eating dry foods his whole life. The vet has given us wet food to feed him through a syringe, but it is very difficult and Dusty does not like it, he spits out most of it. It has been 4 days and Dusty has not eaten anything. Does anyone know a better way we can feed him or any suggestions that can help me?

Thank you,
Sam

Maybe try adding some warm water to the wet food to make it more liquidy and then feed with syringe. Like with pills, maybe tilt his chin up and stroke the throat to promote swallowing. Little by little so he doesn't choke. Good luck!

You say he may need surgery; surgery for what, did the Vet tell you?

You should tell the Vet that kitty just will not eat the canned food, hasn't eaten for 4 days now, and is there any type of dry food that he could eat instead.

Definitely let the Vet know he's not eaten in 4 days. Can't can't really go too long without eating, as it can affect their liver.

Did the Vet tell what he thinks is wrong with your cat?
